Member privacy is important to CTLA
The following privacy statement describes how each member's personally identifiable information is used on CTLA .com and with our Web site host and business partner, TrialSmith, Inc. at its Web site,  This policy does not reflect or establish privacy guidelines for List Servers hosted by CTLA, nor by TrialSmith.

What is personally identifiable information?
These are things such as your name, firm name, mailing address, email address, telephone and fax number.

Information Collection and Use
CTLA, its affiliates, partners and sponsors may use personally identifiable information from members at several different points on its Web site.  Once a member enters CTLA, the member is not anonymous to CTLA, and CTLA can monitor usage patterns of the site on an individual basis both for security and for marketing purposes.

Registration Information Collected
In order to use portions of this Web site, a member must complete a registration form.  During registration, a member is required to verify his/her contact information (such as name, firm name, mailing address, email address, telephone, fax number).

Credit Card and Financial Information Collected
CTLA works with TrialSmith and Authorize.Net to keep your credit card information secure.  When you enter this information to register for an event, CTLA does not have access to it.  CTLA receives confirmation from Authorize.Net that you paid for your registration or item and TrialSmith sends us the information we need in order to fill orders.

Other information collected by CTLA
CTLA and TrialSmith receive and record information in their server logs from members' browsers including the member IP addresses.  CTLA uses information for customizing content members see, for security purposes, administering the site, tracking member movement, and gathering broad demographic information for aggregate use.  CTLA may link IP logs to members with personally identifiable information including searches performed on CTLA and TrialSmith.

CTLA and TrialSmith require cookies on their Web sites for member tracking and security purposes.  Some of CTLA’s business partners may also use cookies on the CTLA site (for example, vendors or sponsors).  However, CTLA has no access to or control over cookies used by business partners, vendors and sponsors, and the member may choose to block cookies from those business partners.

Sharing your information
CTLA may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and sponsors.  CTLA does not link this information to any personal information that can identify any individual CTLA member.  CTLA may partner with other businesses to provide specific member services.  When members sign up for CTLA services provided by other business partners through the CTLA site, CTLA may share personally identifiable information that is necessary for the third party to provide such services.  These business parties are required to use personally identifiable information exclusively for the purpose of providing their services.

Links to other Web Sites
This web site contains links to other sites.  CTLA and TrialSmith are not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites.  CTLA encourages members to be aware of privacy issues when they leave the CTLA site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information.

This CTLA privacy statement applies solely to information collected by the CTLA Web site and by TrialSmith.

Notification of Changes
CTLA may change its privacy policy without notice.  If CTLA changes its privacy policy, CTLA will update the Privacy Statement on the CTLA Web site.
