All items described in the catalog have been donated by CTLA members and friends. Bidding is open to members and non-members, spouses, guests and exhibitors. All items are available for silent bidding. You must use your first and last name in order to bid. Please write legibly.
CTLA plans to use some silent auction items in the LIVE auction. The bid sheets for these items are marked as LIVE AUCTION but you can place bids during the silent auction too.
The silent auction will be open to bidding online, by email, fax or phone (you may leave a voice mail message) until Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at 5 p.m. Mountain Daylight time. We will re-open the bidding on Thursday, August 5, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday, August 6, 2010 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom's Salon F during the CTLA Convention in Vail. Check the CTLA bulletin board after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7th for winners. If your online (email, fax or phone) bid is a winner you will be notified by phone or email.
Items in the auction catalog will be placed on the auction table with a bid sheet which will include the catalog number and a brief description of the item, as well as any minimum bid for the item, minimum raises per bid and a Buy Out Option. The highest bids from email/fax bidding will be added.
To bid on an item, write your name and the amount of your bid on the first open line on the bid sheet. Each new bid must reflect at least the minimum raise indicated on the bid sheet. If the highest bid does not meet the minimum raise, the item will be awarded to the next highest valid bid. CTLA staff will monitor bidding and cross out invalid bids as they are discovered.
The silent auction has a Buy Out Option feature on each silent auction item. This means, if you really want an item, you can pay the Buy Out Option price and bidding on this item ends IMMEDIATELY. The item belongs to you.
CLOSE OF BIDDING
Bidding on all items closes at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, August 6th. However, any ongoing bidding wars may continue until resolved. Should a dispute arise, CTLA staff will determine the winning bidder. ALL SALES ARE FINAL, with no refunds or exchanges possible. Please note any restrictions on use of services, dates of tickets, etc., before you bid.
PURCHASE OF ITEMS
Silent auction winners will be posted at the CTLA registration desk at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday August 7th. Purchases may be paid for at the CTLA desk after 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 7th. We strongly urge you to purchase your items before you leave Steamboat. Some items expire after only a short time; some items are for events on certain dates.
We have endeavored to catalog and describe the auction items correctly, but ALL ITEMS ARE SOLD “AS IS.” CTLA neither warrants nor represents and shall in no way be responsible for the correctness of description or genuineness, authorship or condition of the items. No statement contained in the catalog or made orally at the auction or elsewhere shall be deemed to be a warranty, representation or assumption of liability.
No amount of the purchase price of items in this auction is deductible as a charitable contribution. Please contact your own tax advisor as to other possible deduction options that may be available to you for the excess of the purchase price over the fair market value.
